Fairfield House
Fairfield's legacy
When Haile Selassie I returned to visit Bath in 1954 he gifted Fairfield House to the city. He also requested that the premises be used as a respite for the elderly. More recently, a coalition of Bath citizens, community groups, Ethiopian Orthodox Church and Rastafari have come together to preserve the historical and cultural legacy of Fairfield House. Find out more here.
There are multiple legacies of Haile Selassie I's residence at Fairfield House, some of which are represented in the following videos.
